INFORMATION
Commissioned by Mosaic Family Services to celebrate the retirement of Dr. Walter Nguyen, who founded the non-profit organization, a safe haven for refugees and survivors of human rights abuses, including human trafficking and domestic violence. A Vietnam refugee himself, Dr. Nguyen attempted multiple escapes on the sea. The painting told the stories of Dr. Nguyen’s journey as well as the experiences of refugees and trafficking victims.
